No bedtime stories immediately after food
Going to bed immediately or taking a short nap right
after having a heavy meal may cause several health complications such as
discomfort, gas pains, and bad sleep. One of the main reason is that many
digestive juices travel in opposite direction and into the food pipe, thus
corroding the inner layer. This makes way to increase in the acid reflex. The
burning sensation in chest which one experience when they lie down after a meal
is because the food pipe corroding. Many research studies suggest that people
who go to bed after long hours of meal, have less chances of suffering from a stroke
or heart attack. So, do not sleep right after consuming the meal, wait
at least 2 to 3 hours before heading to sleep.

The chronic smokers must avoid the habit of smoking
citrates right after a meal as studies have shown that the damage from one
cigarette after a meal is the same as smoking 10 cigarettes at once. Smoking in
itself is a bad habit, but intake of it after a meal is ten times dangerous, as
cigarettes contain at least sixty carcinogens which is the substances that
cause cancer.
Shower after a meal, a bad idea
Showering immediately after a meal is a bad habit.
After the intake of food, the blood from the legs and hands move towards the
digestive system, so planning a shower will let the blood rush to the hands and
legs. This will pose problem to the stomach as there would less blood flow,
leading to incapability of the body to absorb the necessary ingredients. So, take
a shower before your meal or wait for at least 1-2 hours till the food is
digested.

stuck with the food, and will not travel in time to the intestines. As a
result, both fruit and food eaten will be spoiled. Consuming fruits at any time during the day is
good except consuming them immediately after a meal. Eating fruits right after
your meal can results in filling the stomach with air and cause bloating. So,
plan the consumption of fruits before or after 1-2 hours of a meal,
avoid digestive problems.

prevent the body from absorbing iron from food. Certain research studies have
shown that the absorption of iron reduced by 87% and can result in anemia, pale
skin, cold hands and feet, dizziness and loss of appetite. Wait at least 1 hour after the
intake of meal.
Don’t belt your stomach
Loosen the belt immediately after a heavy meal is bad
for the intestines or stomach. It’s a sign that one has consumed food more than
required, which is not good for the body. So, it is preferably better to loosen
the belt prior to the meal.
No walk, can talk
Doing excessive exercise like climbing rocks, running
or walking immediately after a meal shouldn’t be followed, as it may lead to
serious acid reflux and indigestion. One can opt to walk after a meal but at least 30
minutes later.
No brushing teeth?
Brushing teeth before going to bed is perfectly a good
habit, but not encouraged immediately after a meal, as it is extremely harmful
for the teeth. Brushing after eating will scrub away the layers of enamel on
the teeth. So, protect the teeth enamel by, waiting to brush for at least 30
minutes.

Drinking 8 glasses of water every day is a must to
stay healthy. But, gulping it down right after eating something or having a
good meal, or even during meals will disrupt digestion. Try to avoid
drinking water for at least 1 hour after a meal and also, don’t drink
it while eating.
Don’t eat and drive
While having a good meal, the digestion system
requires a large amount of blood, which is concentrated in the digestive tract.
Also, because of satiation you fall sleepy, and driving with sleepy eyes is
